We praise the Lord for bringing Makenzie to the team and look forward to serving with her. Makenzie’s email is [email protected].

Trump Accounts

On July 4th, 2026, the new Trump Accounts were made available. Trump Accounts are a new tax-advantaged individual retirement account (IRA) for children under the age of 18.

    • Eligibility:  All U.S. children under 18 with a valid Social Security Number are eligible to establish a Trump Account. Parents or legal guardians can open and manage accounts on behalf of their children.
    • Contributions:  Families, friends, and employers can contribute up to $5,000 per year per child.
    • Access and Withdrawals:  Funds can be accessed without penalty when the child turns 18 for qualified expenses like education or a first home purchase. Withdrawals may be subject to restrictions and would be taxed at ordinary income rates.
    • If funds are not used for the qualifying expenses listed above at age 18, the funds may be withdrawn by your child for any purpose but will incur an early withdrawal fee. At the age of 59 1/2, your child may withdraw the funds without penalty and may use them for any purpose. Withdrawals would be taxed at ordinary income rates.

US Citizens born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, are eligible for $1,000 of government seed money.

For the first 25 million children under the age of 10 in ZIP codes with median incomes below $150,000 who activate a Trump Account, $250 of seed money will automatically be deposited into their account. These funds are made possible by a donation from Michael and Susan Dell of Dell Computers. Check out InvestAmerica.org to see if your child qualifies.

  • How to open an account:
  • You can elect to open a Trump Account for your eligible children using IRS Form 4547 and submit it to the following:
    • In the Trump Accounts app (visit your App Store)
    • When you file your taxes
    • Through the secure IRS website called Individual Online Accounts, or IOLA

What to Know:
For now, Trump Accounts will automatically be invested in the State Street SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF (SPYM) a low-cost exchange-traded fund (ETF) that tracks the performance of the S&P 500 Index. Plans are being made to allow parents and guardians to choose how to allocate funds across additional investment options.

Is the Trump Account Right for you? If your child qualifies for the $1,000 and/or the $250 seed money, it is recommended that you open the account to at least claim the funds; however, there are multiple investment and retirement options available for your children. Visit RamseySolutions.com to learn more about other options to begin saving for your child’s future.

Investing for the Future

John O’Malley’s brother David is a financial advisor with Edward Jones and has helped the Office as well as many of our missionaries with their investments. He produced a short video for our missions family about saving for the future. We trust this will be helpful to you. If you have questions or would like contact information for him or other financial advisors, please contact Kim O’Malley.

See The Harvest – Scotland

See the Harvest is a ministry of the World Wide that offers church members, college students, and pastors the opportunity to See, Learn, and Do missionary work, enabling them to discern God’s call, find their place of service, and reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This ministry is led by our missionaries, Cody and Nikayla Carden.

In July, our team spent two weeks assisting Missionary Jim Van Voltenburg and the Bible Baptist Church of Dundee, Scotland. During that time, they canvassed (letterboxing) with books of Revelation, gospel tracts, and invitations to a revival tent meeting and helped with the tent revival meetings. Our team distributed approximately 5,000 copies of gospel material.

We praise the Lord for His wonderful work through the ministry of See the Harvest! If you would like to learn more about the ministry or future trips, please visit seetheharvest.com.

If you would like a See the Harvest team to visit you on your field, please contact Cody Carden at [email protected].
